This Week at Pioneer (September 28th– October 5th)

This Sunday - Coffee Hour in McMillan Hall following the service.

- Worldwide Communion. A Benevolent Fund offering will be received - envelopes will be in the pews.
- First Sunday of the Month Food Drive will resume. Non-perishable food items and raw vegetables such as potatoes, carrots, onions, etc., will be taken to Wesley Urban Ministries.

TUESDAY - 1:00 p.m. Orion Unit meets in the Parlour.

WEDNESDAY - 6:45 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Girls ages 9-12 are invited to join the Girl Guides meeting at Pioneer. For further information, contact Brenda Perrone, 51st Guides, 905-545-3363.

- 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. The in-depth lectionary Bible Study led
by Rev. Douglas Hallman resumes at Pioneer. Cost: $10 per night or $36 in advance for the month. Seniors: $6 per night or $24 in advance for the month. Students: free.

NEXT SUNDAY - Thanksgiving Sunday.
- The Isobel McMillan-Omega Unit will be taking orders for meat pies.  Please pay for your pies when ordering—cost: $1.50 for small, $9.00 for large.  Pick-up date: Friday, October 24, 1:30-3:30 p.m.

Fall Newsletter

Please continue to put your pennies and loose change in the large water bottle to help install clean, running water at the Togoville Institute for the Blind, a residential school for the blind in Togo, West Africa.

 

If you would like contribute fruit/vegetables, etc., to decorate the Sanctuary for Thanksgiving Sunday, please speak to Pat Jenson. Items may be brought to the church during regular office hours, October 6-10.
